Even though she had such thoughts, the actress married for the second time in 2011.

Shania Twain compared her divorce from Mutt Lange to the most terrible loss one can experience. Two horrible things happened to a singer at the same time.

The “You’re Still the One” star felt as if she lost her parents again after her marriage ended. Shania’s spouse cheated on her and left when she was having voice problems. The singer confessed in her “Not Just a Girl” documentary she didn’t believe she could move on from that grief.

“When I lost Mutt, I was thinking that the grief of that was similarly intense to losing my parents. It was like a death. And I never got over my parents' death. So I'm thinking, 'Sh*t, I'm never going to get over this.' So all I can do is determine how I'm going to carry on from there. How am I going to crawl out of this hole that I've fallen in? Just like that, you know?”
