Olivia Wilde Doesn’t Accept Simplifying Feminism in Movies
The Hollywood representative expresses her opinion not as an actress, but as a director.
Olivia Wilde swims against the stream. The actress's take on pressing issues is quite specific and doesn't suit the tastes of many.
The “Don’t Worry Darling” star neither understands nor likes movies about feminism that make the whole concept seem easy. As a director, Wilde, confessed in an interview with Variety, she wouldn't wish to film a piece on this movement. It would require ton of hard work just to cover the topic profoundly.
“I don’t enjoy or feel inspired by stories that oversimplify feminism. It’s so much more complicated.”
