Mark Fleischman’s wife Mimi was driven to the most horrible act for her husband’s sake. She chose to let her husband go. Despite the difficulties she helped to carry out his terrifying plan.
Mimi had a hand in her husband’s suicide according to Dailymail. Fleischman settled on the decision to use physician-assisted suicide shortly after he read a book about the process. Mimi initially tried to stop him but later changed her mind.
She then did some research and found Dignitas, a group that helps people with terminal illnesses end their lives. The nonprofit organization held conversations and a psychological test with Fleischman before making the call. Yet, the decision is still hard to process for Fleischman’s wife.
“It's going to be horrible. He is my partner and we are devoted to each other. I have to honor what he wants. But he is not giving me a choice. He wants to end his life and this is a dignified way to do it.”
