The fairy tale had become a reality, but the dream remained a dream.

Although the marriage of Prince Harry and the divorced American actress showed that traditions are somehow ephemeral, in some cases, Her Majesty remains adamant. After the wedding, Meghan could be addressed as Her Royal Highness or Princess of Wales, but never Princess Meghan.

In fairness, the same can be said about Kate Middleton. Just like the Duchess of Cambridge, Meghan doesn't have a drop of royal blood.

And this means the two will never become Princesses. This title can only be given to those born into the royal family.

That is why the daughter of Elizabeth II is called a Princess, just like the daughter of Middleton — Princess Charlotte.
