Jennifer Coolidge Hated Movie Makeup and Thought about Quitting Film Industry
Fortunately, the actress’ worries never led her astray.
Jennifer Coolidge was about to quit her career because of one breaking point. Many would consider it crazy, yet the inconvenience Coolidge felt called for extreme reactions.
It was tough for the “White Lotus” star to look at her face buried under the heavy make-up for the “Click” movie. Coolidge would probably not be so dramatic had she not seen the amazing transformations of the others. In an interview with Deadline, the actress recalled her appearance and characterized it as “Godzilla”.
“I remember with my face that’s sort of chubby, with the old-age prosthetics, I just looked like a space monster. I was thinking, How is this possible that everybody else looks like the same age and yet somehow it just looked like I was Godzilla or something. I remember going home thinking, ‘Wow, I don’t know, maybe it’s about time I should quit the movie business.’”
