63-year-old Jamie Lee Curtis has had many ups and downs. The most notable of them came when she became addicted to drugs.
Years ago, the mother of two shared with Variety how plastic surgery caused her a lot of pain. Curtis was starring in the movie then, and the director told her her eyes were puffy. That comment heavily impacted the actress, so she decided to resort to beauty procedures and correct the defect. After the surgery, the doctor prescribed her Vicodin, and from that day, she became addicted. After using the pills for a long time, Jamie finally decided to seek treatment and get rid of the problem.
“I was so mortified and so embarrassed and had just so much shame about it that after that movie, I went and had routine plastic surgery to remove the puffiness. They gave me Vicodin as a painkiller for something that wasn’t really painful.”
