Elton John Wants to be Called “Uncle John” of Music Industry
The artist’s creativity is felt not only through his songs.
Elton John doesn’t need anybody’s help in coming up with a unique nickname. Artist’s recent actions prove enough to create the label on their own.
As Elton helped Britney Spears make her comeback to the music industry, the “Sacrifice” singer offered others to call him “Uncle John”. In an interview with The Guardian, the idol admitted it’s no easy thing for young people to find themselves in show business. But he is willing to help everybody who phones him.
“I don’t really know about the music industry. Everyone’s got a different case. It’s very hard for young musicians today to jumpstart a career. Sam Fender has done it with his second record. Little Simz has been fantastic, but she couldn’t go to America because she didn’t have the money to do her tour, which is a disaster for her because the record is doing quite well in America. So there’s a lot of pressure. It is what it is. But I’m Uncle Elton. They can phone me.”
