Former Head of NBA Players Union Sued LeBron James and Drake for Violating Ownership Rights
That’s what happens when you try to “steal” someone’s idea.
Looks like Drake’s entry into the business industry came with a huge cost. The rapper probably didn’t expect his initiative to result in a lawsuit.
The musician and NBA player LeBron James decided to launch a new project. But they certainly hoped for a better turnout. The duo filmed a “Black Ice” documentary about Canada’s old Colored Hockey League.
TMZ reports that both were sued for $10 million by the former head of the NBA players union, Billy Hunter. The latter claims only he has the executive right for movie production since he signed an agreement with the story’s authors.
Hunter wants to get his hands on the box office profits and an additional $10 million for violating his ownership rights.
