The daughter of Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean and makeup artist Rochelle McLean didn’t find her parents’ choice unique enough. The 9-years-old girl fixed their “mistake”.
AJ and Rochelle’s 9-years-old daughter didn’t consider own name appealing. The little one, who already flaunted a distinctive personality at a young age, decided to stand out from many “Avas” and became Elliott.
The celebrity parents supported their child in her decision. On the official Instagram page, Elliott’s mom shared a post saying parents make mistakes too.
“Come to think of it, it’s a little odd that as parents we choose names for people we haven’t even met yet and expect them to forever [identify] as that person!”
